Hello Everyone -
My name is Zach Lare and I am the Varsity Assistant lacrosse coach at Sauk Prairie High School. I wanted to reach out to our current and potential youth players about free training/practice opportunities which will occur through the winter.
Sauk lacrosse will be holding hour-long training sessions on Sundays Nov 6th through Dec 18th, 10:30 -11:30am. After the holidays, we will pick back up on the sessions starting January 8th; the time for these practices is still TBD. Training sessions will take place in the North Gym of the High School. Dylan Bair (Varsity Head Coach), Bennett West (Sauk Lacrosse Director), current High School players, youth coaches and myself will be leading these sessions.
We want to see players of all age levels with the Sauk lacrosse community grow into more confident players. To do that, we want to make sure there are extra opportunities to practice and grow players' skills and knowledge of the game. Lacrosse is not a sport you pick up overnight, so the more practice, the better.
These sessions will be for any current players in our youth program as well as potential players. If there are any friends or family members that you think would enjoy the sport, this is a great time for them to try it. This does not just account for Sauk Prairie students; we currently or have had in the past kids from Lodi, Wisconsin Heights, Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo. So please feel free to invite anyone who may be interested.
We will have drills set up for different skill levels and will also have sticks, which new players can use to try the sport. If this is a player's first time picking up a stick, strengthening their overall game or looking to get some training for specialized positions, these sessions will be beneficial.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
We look forward to having the opportunity to work with you all through the winter.
